On my last thrift, I came across a flat little box.
Opening it revealed a large sheet of paper with numbers and lines on it.
The box itself had metal rectangles with rows of slits in them. Very mysterious.
The box seems to have been constructed with a very specific purpose in mind. But what?
Internet to the rescue!
Upon brief research, I discovered that it’s a 35mm slide case!
I’m sure you’ve seen these before:
When you’re not showing your family the slideshow of your trip to Tahiti from 1967, you need to store the slides somewhere safe. With some sort of cataloging page for keeping them organized. The Brumberger slide case does that pretty well.
Mystery solved! I bet some of you already knew exactly what this box was for before I even opened it. If you still have no idea what a slideshow is, well, it was like the analogue version of Instagram. You can google it.
Have a great week!
