I absolutely hate putting things in the dumpster. But this week, I had to.
Husbandman’s duffle bag was broken, and I wasn’t able to fix it. The zipper wouldn’t move anymore, and the fabric was starting to fray. It was liable to fall apart in the middle of a trip, so it was no longer useful for traveling.
Fortunately, Husbandman (who usually has no patience for thrifting), spotted a pretty nice rolling suitcase at the thrift store. It was half-off day, so it was $7.50. Pretty good deal, right?
Once we got home, I googled the brand name, as I like to do. It turns out that Orvis is a luxury line of travel gear, and the suitcase retails for about $500!
Husbandman was happy to have found such a good quality suitcase, especially since we never would have been able to justify buying it new. I’m delighted that it was only $7.50!
Have a great weekend!
